Renowned activist and author, Reno Omokri, has offered his commendations to Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, for his exemplary handling of the investigation into the tragic passing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad.

Omokri expressed his deep admiration for Commissioner Owohunwa’s professionalism, articulateness, and composure during updates provided to the public. He also praised the efficiency and thoroughness exhibited by the Nigerian Police Force throughout the investigation.

“What particularly stood out was the impressive speed at which the Lagos Police Command, under Commissioner Owohunwa’s leadership, conducted the exhumation, autopsy, and subsequent investigations that led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, an unregistered nurse, along with others now in custody. This incident showcases that even in the face of adversity, Nigeria can shine with positive outcomes. Tragedy struck, but it brought out the very best in us, deserving of commendation,” emphasized Omokri.

Omokri stressed the importance of not only criticizing institutions and personnel when they falter but also recognizing and celebrating their excellence. “It is our duty to not only point out flaws during times of failure but to equally celebrate and praise exceptional performance. I have yet to encounter an institution or individual that does not strive to reach greater heights when they receive recognition and praise,” he added.

Omokri concluded with a heartfelt commendation for Commissioner Owohunwa, stating, “May God bless Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa and the Nigerian Police Force for their outstanding work in this case.”
